Careers I have seriously considered, am still considering, or have pursued:
- Early Childhood Education Teacher
- College History, English, or Theology Professor
- Artist
- Graphic Designer
- One of those people who sets up the window displays at Barnes and Noble
- Editor
- Singer/Songwriter
- Recording Artist
- Just plain writer
- Tattoo Artist
- Owner of a Flower Shop
- Chef
- Race Car Driver
- Stunt Car Driver
- Climb Everest (OK, it's not really a career, but I've always wanted to do it)
- Mountaineering Expedition Leader?
- Interior Designer
- Stay at Home Mom
- Model
- Astronomer
- Cosmetologist
- Massage Therapist
- Psychologist
- Missionary (to someplace in Asia/South America)
- Clothing Designer
- Any job at Google (I'm always trying to figure out if there's a way to make this happen because it would be SO GROOVY to work at Google.)
- Fitness Trainer
- Bartender
Lack of direction, much? I have no idea what I want to do. Number 18 is the only one I'm entirely sure about.
Here are a few jobs that I don't think I would be good at:
- Electrician
- Mathematician (I have troubles with simple addition)
- Professional Speaker (Why is this different than recording artist? I'd rather eat worms than speak in front of a large group of people, but I'm completely comfortable singing in front of them. WHY?)
- Politician of any kind (I have too much integrity for politics, which is to say, I have some integrity, which is too much for politics)
- Lawyer (see previous)
- Linebacker
- VJ
- DJ
- Matchmaker
- Watchmaker
- Bird Watcher
- Bob Ross
- Mob Boss
- That dude from MTV- what's his name? The guy from jackass, and he has his own show now. You know who I'm talking about.
- Advice Columnist
- Exotic Dancer (I can barely stand in heels- how could I dance in them? Answer: awkwardly.)
- Your Company's Computer Guy
- Bouncer
- Accountant
- Receptionist (.......)

You forgot assassin. Did you take the Myers-BRiggs test? This will make your path very clear. Seriously.
Yeah, I've taken it. It suggests about half the stuff on my "seriously considered or pursued list". Doesn't narrow it down much!
You could be a party planner/party-in-a-box type thing. That would allow you to work with little kids, you could use your singing talents, supply the catering (thinking chef here), etc... just a thought.
Or... you could work for Scholastic and do book fairs at school libraries. That way you could work with kids and set up book displays. Plus, you wouldn't have to mess with lesson plans and sending kids to the office!
one more idea for the party planner... you could do face painting... that kinda ties in the art/cosmetology thing.
Hay I love the lists.....I finally crossed off cross-country running champion, international footballer and spy off my mine. (I'm holding onto movie director for at least another year)
Thank you for e-mailing the photos, you looked beautiful and the dress was so incredible.
Where are you at?
I'm still here! I'm alive!! I'm just overwhelmed right now.
Try being on a roadtrip with your father. Now that's overwhelming!
Just make sure to choose a profession which can't be "outsourced" to Mexico or China.
check my comment on your aviano coffee post.
I love how you say that you wouldn't make a good matchmaker when you keep insisting that Micheal and I are meant for each other
Michael and you ARE meant for each other!! My point is that it's so OBVIOUS that even I can see it! Silly Amy.
